Sean McCluskey

Sean McCluskey is a Scottish artist living and working in Denmark. He works in a variety of media; drawing, painting, scultpure and writing. He often combines drawing and painting with collage elements. His mixed media artworks are primarily figurative, often using the landscape to establish a link between reality and that imagined by its conciever.

His works often appear as dreamlike images in which fiction and reality meet. Rather than presenting a factual reality, an illusion is fabricated to conjure the realms of our imagination.

By exploring the dynamics of landscape and the figure in a nostalgic way, he creates with daily, recognizable elements, a situation in which we are confronted with our own assumptions of what landscape means to us.
